Its history began in 1986 when REINIK was established within Nissan Koki as a motorsport parts development department to compete in the Gr.-A category with the Nissan GT-R. In 1994, the company began developing and selling performance parts as REINIK Labo, and in 1996, the brand and company name was changed to REIMAX.
